Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR)

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response believes every child should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential in a home and community that is safe and promotes their development.

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response works with parents up until the age of 24 years who are having a child or are the parents of children up to five years of age that have been referred from Child Protection. The program aims to help children and families stay together safely at home.

Who is this program for?

Quantum practitioners work with parents up until the age of 24 years who have children up to the age of five who are at risk of entering care or are currently in out of home care working towards reunification. The program aims to help children and families stay together safely at home. It is offered throughout Inner Gippsland.

Referral Pathway

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response is available by referral only from Child Protection. Families must consent to a referral being made to the service. Referrals are connected to Quantum Support Services by the Child Protection Navigator Practitioner.

What is included?

Quantum practitioners will visit families regularly and are flexible to support the needs of the family. It aims to enable clients to identify their own needs and the needs of their child. It recognises adolescent-specific issues, stages of development, attachment and significant personal, social and financial issues.
