Quantum Support Services are accepting financial donations to help fund sports equipment for the new Multi-purpose play area at the Women and Children’s Refuge (Pat’s Place).
Pat’s place cares for and provides temporary accommodation for women and children escaping family violence. Quantum has worked hard to attract donations and funding to build a new multi-purpose play area at the site, because we know it will make a huge difference to those we support at the site.
The multipurpose play area will provide a safe and fun space that contributes to the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of children, young people and mothers residing at the service and contribute to re-establishing safe and respectful connections within the family.
The space will help the children take part in therapeutic play, to expend energy in a healthy and creative way. Playing sport and games is an important way to distract the children from the trauma they have experienced.
It will be a place where they can create positive memories of their time at the refuge, to create bonding opportunities and to re-establish family connections.
You can support us to achieve these outcomes by making a tax deductible financial donation that will be used to purchase sporting and play equipment for the facility. However large or small, every bit helps!
Quantum Support Services always welcomes contact from members of the community and organisations wishing to contribute to our agency. Examples of ways that your organisation can assist improve outcomes for the community we serve is via fundraising and donations.
Here are ways you can help:
Due to COVID-19 we are not accepting unwanted goods at the moment. We sincerely thank everyone who had donated unwanted goods in the past.
At Quantum Support Services, we support many children who are experiencing disadvantage as a result of circumstances outside their control. This may include the impact of family housing instability, being temporarily or permanently placed in Out of Home Care arrangements or Kinship Care, or as a result of family violence.
Quantum conduct annual drives at Easter and Christmas, encouraging donations of age appropriate gifts for distribution to the children and young people within Gippsland who are supported by our services. You can be involved either by donating goods directly, or arranging a collection drive through you workplace, social group or sporting agency. Every little bit helps.
We are always in need for more Carers, so if you are interested in becoming a household that can support and care for a child or youth we would love to hear from you. For further information click the email address below.
