Specialist Intervention FPPR

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response believes every child should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential in a home and community that is safe and promotes their development.

Who is this program for?

The Specialist Intervention Family Preservation and Reunification Response program aims to help children and families stay together safely at home. Delivered throughout Inner Gippsland it works with young people aged 10 to 17 years who are at risk of entering the Out of Home Care system or returning to the family home for reunification.

Referral Pathway

The Specialist Intervention Family Preservation and Reunification Response is available by referral only from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. Families and young people must consent to a referral being made to the service. Referrals are connected to Quantum Support Services by the Child Protection Navigator Practitioner.

How can it assist?
  • Support a young person to develop their goals and ways to achieve them
  • Support positive relationships and communication
  • Provide support to young people, their families and/or carers to maintain long term stable care
  • Guide young people and their families to agree on rules and expectations
  • Suport young people to access school, training programs or find employment
  • Provide information and advice in where to access other community supports and social and recreational activities
