Quantum offers support including an outreach service to assist with information, advice and referrals for women, with or without children, experiencing family violence in the Baw Baw, Latrobe and Wellington areas.

Family Violence Response Services

Quantum has a wide range of programs and options for women, with or without children, experiencing family violence.

Family violence is not limited to physical violence.

It includes a range of controlling behaviours, such as limiting your social opportunities, financial independence or security, using emotional abuse such as calling you names or embarrassing you in public settings, threatening violence and more behaviours that relate to exerting power and control over you.

If you are a man who is experiencing family violence, you should contact your General Practitioner who may be able to assist you to access specialist services including couselling.

What you can expect

You can expect:

  • A respectful discussion around your needs, expectation and options.
  • A thorough assessment, information, referrals and advice.
  • Advocacy for court, police and intervention orders.
  • Support in identifying risks and safety planning.
  • Discussion about all the options available to you, including housing and accommodation.
  • Information on workshops and support groups.
  • Support to access material aid.
    Privacy and confidentiality respected.
  • Access to an interpreter as required.

    To provide you with information and referrals to other services and programs as required.
  • To undertake a comprehensive risk assessment.
  • To provide a service led by you that meets your needs.
Intake and assessment

Quantum provides family violence crisis intervention and intake for women, with or without children, experiencing family violence in the Wellington Shire.

The Orange Door provides this service for Inner Gippsland including, Baw Baw and Latrobe Areas.
