Quantum welcomes new Board Chair

Quantum Support Services has welcomed a new Board Chair following its recent Annual General Meeting.

Quantum Chief Executive Natalie McDonald said the appointment of Bruce McDonald would complement Quantum and strengthen its advocacy for the community.

“Mr McDonald comes to us with a wealth of experience, and we look forward to harnessing that as we roll out our new Strategic Plan 2022-2027,” Ms McDonald said.

“Our new Strategic Plan sets us on a course to connect people to the support they choose for safer, thriving families across Gippsland.”

“Mr McDonald’s experience in governance, strategy planning, building strong distribution networks, leadership development and customer-centric business strategies will be critical in assisting us to achieve our vision.”

Mr McDonald has had extensive Board appointments, including Non-Executive Director, Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria Limited and Chair, RMIT University, Graduate School of Business & Law, Program Advisory Board.

During the meeting Ms McDonald acknowledged the service to Board by outgoing Chair Roland Davies, and Directors Jane Burton and Debbie Knight.

“Mr Davies has led Quantum during a period of unprecedented growth in our services. This growth was overseen by additional governance and oversight from the Board,” Ms McDonald said.

“During Mr Davies’ leadership, the organisation also experienced significant challenges, in particular the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Davies’ strength and commitment facilitated Quantum’s adaptability in supporting our clients.”

Quantum is a not-for-profit organisation and is governed by its Board consisting of Chair Bruce McDonald, Deputy Chair Dean Sutton, Directors Nicole Griffin, Damian Blackford, Hannah Vincent, Lee Garwood, Cr Brett Tessari and Audra Fenton.
