For the second year running Gippsland Women’s Health along with Respectful Relationships Department of Education and Training have run a poster competition to promote respectful relationships and gender equality. This Gippsland wide initiative called for school students from Respectful Relationship Schools to produce poster artwork that challenges gender stereotypes and promotes gender equality through the eyes of a child/young person.
520 students from 23 schools were involved in producing 376 posters.
The 7 finalists’ artworks will be displayed on the side of buses throughout Wellington, Baw Baw and Latrobe City Council areas for 13 weeks. These posters will also be used on social media platforms throughout Gippsland. These posters will continue to be available to schools and organisations to support work challenging gender stereotypes and promoting gender equality.
