Many families across Gippsland who are doing it tough will have a brighter Easter thanks to the generous help of the Gippsland community and businesses who generously supported Quantum Support Services 2021 “Easter Basket Hero’s” campaign.
Quantum invited the community and local business to donate toward the annual Easter appeal, to assist individuals and families accessing their services. This included the Women and Children’s Refuge (Pat’s Place), the Youth Refuge, Foster and Kinship Care families, Youth Services and Homelessness supports. The generous support of businesses and individuals resulted in the provision of Easter hampers, individual eggs and Easter Hunts for the refuges, and totalled approximately 400 gifts for distribution. It has also allowed for all those accessing refuge services to wake up to hot-cross buns at Easter.
Andrea Barron, Better Futures Intake and Case Coordinator for Quantum stated, “This will be the first time some children and young people being supported by us have ever received an Easter Egg in their lives. This will mean so much to them”.
The agency would like to thank all “Easter Basket Hero’s” who made this possible, including EnergyAustralia, Aussie Broadband, Bendigo Bank – Bairnsdale, Morwell and Traralgon, Kmart – Moe, Coles – Morwell, Woolworths-Midvalley Morwell, Charlie’s Personal Training – Sale as well as those amazing individuals who personally donated.
Quantum would like to extend a special thank you to EnergyAustralia who assisted in packing all the Easter hampers for distribution. This support allowed all hampers to be ready for distribution in time for Easter. Quantum looks forward to further collaborating with EnergyAustralia and other community partners in the future.
Quantum would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy and safe Easter. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the Easter Drive it was a heart-warming, wonderful success and demonstrates the power of what can be achieved when we work together.
