Access and Support (A&S)
Overview:

The objective of the Access & Support program is to support eligible people who, due to diversity have barriers to accessing HACC services, and may also support them to access other services if required.

This HACC program has a focus on five special needs groups that may experience particular difficulty in gaining access to HACC services. The groups are:

  • People from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
  • People from linguistically diverse 9CALD) backgrounds
  • People living with dementia
  • People living in rural and remote areas
  • People experiencing financial disadvantage (including people who experience or are at risk of homelessness).
