• Provide a safe residential service delivery to women and children residing in the refuge. 
• Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop, monitor and review safety plans. 
• Develop client focused case plans outlining clear goals and timelines. 
• Contribute to an integrated approach to service delivery for clients accessing the service. 
• To protect confidentiality and ensure the safety, rights and dignity of service users; 
• Maintain security measures at the Women’s Refuge, and other service locations and ensure that service users also understand the measures and their responsibilities regarding security. 

• An understanding of the key legislative, policy, practice and theoretical frameworks.  
• A demonstrated understanding of the social and political issues impacting on women and children escaping family violence; 
• Previous experience in crisis intervention and assessment with strong conflict resolution skills;  
• Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence | Working With Children Check | Police Check. 
• A tertiary qualification is required in Social Work (preferred) or appropriate qualification, as per Royal Commission Recommendation 209 – Mandatory Minimum Qualifications for Specialist FV Workers and experience relevant to this position.

• Location – Latrobe Valley. 
• Job Security – 1EFT (38hrs per week from 10.2.2025 to 10.8.2025, then reverting to .5EFT (19hrs per week from 11.8.2025 to 8.2.2026) | Parental leave backfill  
• Salary – SCHADS Award Level 5 | $97,377 P/A | + Superannuation | Annual indexation | Portable long service leave | Leave opportunities.
