About the role:

JOB SUMMARY

  • (Work Life-Balance) – Based in Morwell with flexible working arrangements including working from home
  • (Job Security) – 1EFT, full time, ongoing
  • Salary – SCHADS Award Level 5

Positive new model of care. The Kinship care program provides vital support to relatives or members of a child’s social network to care for a child or and young person when they cannot live with their parents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Identify kinship networks early and provide timely comprehensive assessment, identification of needs, and access to family services.

Provide support, and assistance to strengthen reunification between the child or young person and the kinship carer.

Ensure the child or young person’s care arrangement meets their ongoing safety, stability and developmental needs andreduce the likelihood of entry into residential care.

Promote placement quality and support children and young people living with kinship families to thrive.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated understanding of Child Protection matters and legislation relevant to the Out of Home Care space, specifically Kinship Care.

Demonstrated understanding of trauma informed practice specifically relating to children and young people.

A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding the out-of-home care and family services system and the available resources and services in Gippsland.

Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence/WWC/Police Check

Relevant Tertiary qualifications appropriate to the field
